002 | VIDEO/ACTION FOR GOLDENROD
Good day, citizens of Kanto and Johto!
[The intro is heroic as fuck, and the pose is suitably dramatic, but the setting is... well, it's outside a pastry shop. It is hard to look suitably heroic outside of a pastry shop.
...furthermore, only two of her Pokemon are backing her up --- a Rufflet, who is also attempting to LOOK COOL with his wings spread and a rather small, young-looking Ponyta, who is attempting a clumsy Cool Equestrian Pose but is failing at it even harder than the Rufflet and his trainer. A Zebstrika is trying to hide outside the frame, while a Murkrow is eating an eclair in abject boredom]
I hope you're all doing well on this extra special day, because I am doing spectacular! ...I mean, I didn't come up with something extra special for my dramatic appearance because I think all of us could maybe use a little more practice, but we've got all the time in the world!
...though, actually, I kind of have a question about that for people who've been around here for a while! How do you go about building up a Pokemon's confidence, exactly...? Thunderhoof here ---
[--- she brohugs her now mortified-looking Zebstrika into the frame ---]
--- has always been a little on the skittish side, which, you know, I understand! ...I guess! She doesn't seem like she has a problem when the going gets rough, but she's a little... shy, I guess? I thought that she'd be a little more confident when she evolved into a super cool big electric horse that I could probably actually ride, but she hasn't actually changed all that much! I dunno, I guess I'm a little worried... not too worried, but if anyone has advice, I'd like to hear it!
Also, does anyone else want to get some pastries today? Because I want to get some pastries today, on this glorious 14th of May!

Birthdays are totally fine for that, though! And yeah, I am really impressed with Thunderhoof --- she looks even cooler than I imagined she would!
Re: video;
But wait a second, you didn't say today was your birthday! Oh geez, now I have to sing and everything..! Oh, if only I could bring you a cake so you could make a wish...
video;
And yeah, I'm sorry about that! I would have let everybody know, but I kind of forgot until I looked at the calendar this morning... actually, it wasn't that close to my birthday before I got here, either. Am I actually a year older? Time travel sure is weird!
Re: video;
That makes sense though, I mean, it's not like you got sent here on the same date as you left..so to you, it wouldn't feel like a whole year's passed. I guess that makes sense! I mean, my birthday's all the way in November...
video;
Yeah... honestly, I should have thought about that before time traveling, too. Then again, I'm no good at math, so I may as well count myself as older! Another year conquered in the name of Cynthia!

Re: video;
It does seem like it'd be kind of complex if you were to, y'know, count all of that, though. You'd have to think about it every year and it'd just get really hard to keep track of. Best to keep it simple!
video;
Yeah... and then you'd have to figure for Februaries, and who even knows what's going on with those?
Re: video;
I always get confused with those, too. Like, it's complicated enough without the leap years.
video;
Yeah... yeah, let's just assume our birthdays are when they happen. I mean, nobody pushes their birthday a day back when leap years happen, right?
Re: video;
That's right, though! That'd be pretty silly. It is the way it is for a reason, we'll just say that!
video;
Yeah! Let's just leave it there, then!

Re: video;
...
Nnnnot bad, I suppose?
video;
Maybe you should join the Pegasus Knights, then!
[THAT WOULD END IN TRAGEDY]
Re: video;
[jesus christ no]

[NO, STOP]
Re: video;
[WHAT HAVE YOU DONE CYNTHIA]
video;
Yeah, that's the spirit! If you get something big enough here, I bet you'd be able to practice, too. I'm sure riding a bird wouldn't be the same as riding a pegasus, but it can't be too different, right?
Re: video;
video;
It feels a lot more like riding a horse, but I think riding a bird would get you used to flying. Even though it's the greatest thing ever, it can be a little scary to start out with.
